Los Osos-based artist Larry Le Brane will discuss his creative process and the inspirations behind one of his latest sculptures, Unhooked largemouth bassoon, at an artist conference in Morro Bay. The event will take place at the Art Center Morro Bay on Thursday, October 27 from 5-6:30 p.m.
Le Brane’s whimsical sculpture is on display in the gallery’s window as part of an ongoing group exhibition, Faces of the Central Coast. The exhibition will remain in place until Monday, November 7.
A prolific glass and mixed media artist, Le Brane has used a combination of offbeat materials to create Unhooked largemouth bassoon, according to press materials. The title of the sculpture is a play on words between bass and bassoon. The Brane will reveal more details about the artwork during his talk.
Admission to the Artist Talk is free. Call (805) 772-2504 or visit artcentermorrobay.org for more information about the event and additional programs hosted at the gallery. Art Center Morro Bay is located at 835 Main St., Morro Bay. Δ
