Illustrators’ art on display at the Hicks Art Center

Bucks County Community College’s Hicks Art Center Gallery presents “Wonders Illustrated: A Survey of 12 Children’s and YA Book Illustrators,” June 1 through August 4.

There will be an opening reception with refreshments from 4-7 p.m. on June 3. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.

A series of guest artist talks will take place in person and via Zoom throughout June. For more details, visit the BCCC Calendar and Events page for June.

Additionally, two free in-person workshops for ages 13-15 will be held June 18 (Illustration) and June 25 (Creative Writing) from 10 a.m. to noon at the Hicks Art Center. To register, visit the BCCC Teens on Campus webpage.

Artists in the exhibition include: Honie Beam, Floyd Cooper, Sophie McTear, Charles Beyl, Penny Dasi, Andie Munroe, Alina Chau, Deb Hoeffner, Duncan Tonatiuh, David Curtis, EB Lewis and James Yang.

Along with original and reproduced illustrations from artist books, digital animations, 3D prints and original sketchbooks will be part of the exhibit. There will also be a lounge area where visitors can consult the artists’ books.

The entire exhibition program is free and open to the public.
