Rochester, Minnesota Art Center Hosts Dragster Storytime

The Rochester Art Center is hosting a free and fun family event scheduled for Saturday, March 12. It’s called Drag Story Time, and that’s exactly what it sounds like. A drag queen will read storybooks to the children present.

Famous Midwest drag queen Miss Anita Tiara will read stories

Miss Anita Tiara is perhaps best known as the founder and hostess of Rochester’s Drag Queen Bingo, which has raised over $10,000 for churches and nonprofits in the Rochester area. Since being crowned the winner of the Miss Rochester pageant in 2000, she has visited Minnesota and Wisconsin at pride festivals.

After Tiara reads storybooks, there will be crafts ‘fit for royalty’ with golden crowns and colorful scepters, according to the Rochester Art Center Press release.
