The Walk In Art Center is gearing up for several weeks of big events culminating with the biggest and grandest of holiday parties – the Jingle Mingle & Final 3 – on December 17 in the main WIAC gallery.
WIAC’s major fundraising event will feature silent auction items, a charcuterie buffet and dinner from Scott Dee Catering, music from the Radioactive Munsters, plus wine, beer and a holiday cocktail signature served in a festive ice sledge.
But this event has a twist – participants will compete to be one of the “final 3” and will be vying to win $1,000 each.
“Oh my God, this is so much fun,” says WIAC Executive Director Jacquie Engel. “We really want to make holidays special… for at least 3 people!
All three winners can choose to hold on until there is only one winner who takes home $3,000, but chances are people will take the $1,000 and run. Second chance raffles and other entertainment will take place throughout the evening.
“I’m especially looking forward to sledding,” Engel said.
“In fact, we’ve made it possible for people to brighten up the Christmas for nonprofits in the area,” she added. “Winners can, of course, take the money themselves, or they can donate the money to a Schuylkill County nonprofit of their choice – and it doesn’t have to be the WIAC.”
Businesses are encouraged to use the Jingle Mingle as their company or leadership team’s Christmas party. Sponsorships are available with the majority of funds being tax deductible. They can let the Walk In Art Center handle all the details.
How does this “Final 3” work? Participants are given one number (sponsors are given two numbers for each participant) and every 15 minutes a batch of numbers is drawn. People don’t want their number drawn because they want to be part of Final 3.
“The event really inspires people to stick around till the end to see who the winners are,” Engel said. “People are rooting for their friends who are still there, and the fun goes on all night.”
Tickets for the event are $75 for individuals and $125 for couples. A portion of each ticket is tax deductible and includes free adult drinks, food, music and dancing. To purchase tickets, visit walkinartcenter.org and click “event registration” or call 570-732-3728.
