Sioux City Art Center Announces ARTWALK Events

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – The Art Center has announced a second installment of the Sioux City ARTWALK featuring the artwork of partner organizations.

According to a statement from the Sioux City Art Center, the ARTWALK will take place Thursday at 5:30 p.m. from the Sioux City Art Center. As the event progresses, the group will move to the Ho-Chunk Center and then the event will conclude at Art SUX Gallery.

The galleries will include works from 103 Gallery, 3 Rivers Art Gallery and Art SUX Gallery. Food and drinks will be served as the night progresses.

Members of the Northwestern Iowa Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) will participate in the event along with guest speaker Toi Sullivan from the Art Center Association Board of Directors who will speak about the work of the AIA. The event will also include custom LEGO exhibits.

“The Art Center is pleased to partner with other art spaces in the hopes that we can come together to celebrate and support the vibrant arts community that is growing in our downtown,” said the Art Center director, Todd Behrens, “As this project continues, we envision other organizations joining us to make each subsequent event better and better.
