The Parkersburg Art Center prepares the Bingo of the wallet | News, Sports, Jobs

PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Art Center board of trustees collected designer handbags for a Purse Bingo fundraiser.

This year’s event will take place on Monday, Nov. 7, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and games beginning at 6 p.m. at the Art Center at 725 Market St. in downtown Parkersburg.

Event attendees can play to win 20 designer handbags.

Most new handbags are donated and cost over $150. There are several Michael Kors, Coach and Kate Spade handbags and other bags. There will also be snack bags, door prizes throughout the evening and a 50/50 draw.

“We are really anticipating a sold out crowd as we have not been able to hold this event for the past two years,” said Lynn McCormick, Chair of the PAC Bingo Board of Directors. “We encourage people to get their tickets now. We will be limiting numbers to avoid crowding in the ballroom and to make sure everyone is comfortable.

Bingo tickets are $20 for 20 plays and can be reserved online at or by calling 304-485-3859. Individual tickets can be purchased or purchase a table of up to 10 for a group.

“Our fundraisers help keep our doors open and provide outreach programs to the community,” McCormick said. “This event is just a lot of fun for everyone. We rock the night. There will be lots of laughs.
